- Joe Margolin of Westwood defeated Al Darrow of Connecticut in a
hard-fought last round game to take the New England and Massachusetts titles
(12 points).
- Tied for second were Richard White and
Al Darrow (10 points) followed by Ed McDuffee (New Hampshire champion), Bill
Wheeler, Steve Kelly, Steve Catanese, and John Michalowski (Maine champion).
- No players were undefeated.
- Al Darrow requested (and Richard White
agreed) that this years Connecticut State Champion not be determined by the
outcome of the District I tournament , since most of the CT players could not
make this tournament. So they will be having a separate CT Ck Ty later
this year to determine the CT State Champion.
- Tournament was a GAYP, 7 rounds of Round Robin, scored by game, and the
X represents a bye round, and the T separates players' opponent
from Players' game points for that round.
- Crosstable results

(They pair 1st round and after that, finished players pair themselves with whoever is available until everyone has played each other.)
No clocks, time limits, or lunch breaks, this way those who want to take a
little longer can, and once the game is over, they record the results and move
on to the next available players.
